| Born in 1987 to Kimberly and Craig Moore of Indianapolis, LaShonda Sue Moore knew from an early age what she wanted to do with her life. Her career as an entertainer began at age 8 when she began singing at the Morgan County Fair. This was also the year she recorded and released her first country album appropriately named I Love to Sing. At the time, Shonda Sue looked to Reba McEntire as her role model and her first song was even one of Rebas - Why Havent I Heard from You? Since then not only has Shonda Sue added to her list of music artist favorites, she has developed her own style - borrowing some of their songs and making them her own. Working with Indianapolis songwriter Michael Van Vlymen, Shonda Sue began gathering some original material to perform. Her second album, a gospel album released at age 10, featured one of his songs as the title track, Sweet, Sweet Land as well as another that would appear not only on that album but her first Nashville project as well. Shonda Sue took a big leap forward when she recorded her first Nashville project, Girl Thang, in 2001. The album featured five originals she selected from more than 300 choices along with five cover songs. The following year, May 2002, the single Live While I Can from her Girl Thang album was released on a compilation CD by Comstock Records. The song was her first to hit the airwaves in Europe and Australia. The release led to requests for her entire Girl Thang album and other tracks began playing overseas. The year 2002 proved exciting with the release of two more albums on her own independent label, SPirit Productions Studio, a joint venture with her grandfather Paul Youkey. Christmas with Shonda Sue and Shonda Sue LIVE! 2002 Favorites became albums four and five on her growing roster of recordings. Shonda Sue showcased her versatility when she released her sixth album, No Greater Love, a tribute to some of her favorite contemporary Christian artists, July 5, 2003 at the age of 15. The album, also featuring traditional gospel hymns, is her third project on the SPIrit Productions Studio label. Her second LIVE project, album 7, features country favorites from her 2003 performances and album 8, also country, becomes her fifth project on her own SPirit Productions Studio label. The latest project, :Shonda Sue LIVE! 2004 Favorites" is available, along with the rest of her growing repertoire, at live shows and through her official website. Shonda Sue performs at fairs, festivals, corporate and private events, including weddings, places suitable for an entertainer her age. Her personal goals include signing a major label record deal, performing at the Grand Ole Opry and winning a CMA award. As far as where her career takes her, she is letting the Lord guide her steps because she knows He is the one who gave her the talent she wants to share with music lovers around the world.
